Social Media Offensive
for BAMBI

Although BAMBI has already been active in the social network for some years now, a large-scale social media offensive has now been started for the 63rd presentation of Germany’s most prestigious media prize in Wiesbaden on 10 November. The aim is to bring the BAMBI award and its partners home to younger target groups through other channels. Even before the live broadcast from 20.15 hours (on das Erste channel), an exclusive live streaming from the Red Carpet can be viewed online: on BAMBI’s Facebook page, on Bunte.de and on FOCUS Online.

The Miss BAMBI Contest is also currently being held on the Facebook social network: fans can apply and vote among themselves. A panel of judges will take the Community‘s preliminary decision on board and decide who will be travelling to Wiesbaden and be allowed to present the BAMBI to superstar Justin Bieber. In the very first few days the campaign sponsored by Mercedes-Benz went down extremely well, and the BAMBI Facebook community quadrupled in a matter of days. Peek & Cloppenburg is dressing Miss BAMBI to suit the festive occasion, Schwarzkopf is taking care of the styling. In addition the winner will be equipped with the new Motorola RAZR smartphone – the photos she takes with it will be published on the BAMBI Facebook account. There will also be BAMBI Fan Days announced regularly via Twitter and Facebook in the run-up to the ceremony – BAMBI fans will be the first to win top prizes.

The BAMBI Facebook page is also up for election on SocialNetworkStrategies
as Germany’s trendiest Facebook page.
